"Watch out – hot and greasy!"

ecoMotion produces around 210,000 tonnes of biodiesel in Germany every year – including from the used cooking oil and frying fats that ReFood collects and processes.

Once the frying life of fats is past, chefs have to stop using them, no matter how skilled they might be. ReFood employees collect the used cooking oil, as well as waste frying fats that restaurants or food production operations need to dispose of.

In order to store liquid and greasy waste ready for collection, ReFood has designed the Oleo 90 container system specifically for used frying fats. As part of the ReFood approach Oleo 90 containers are cleaned inside and out before being returned to our customers.

In the interests of sustainability, ReFood cleans waste cooking oil and frying fats and recycles them: our sister company ecoMotion then uses this valuable raw material to produce second-generation biodiesel. ReFood also runs its own fleet of vehicles on this fuel, thereby helping to conserve fossil fuels.
