ReFood customers include restaurants, canteens and catering companies, bakeries, care home and hospital kitchens, meat markets and butchers’ shops, food production operations and food retailers.

1. Container exchange
After every collection, customers are given containers that have been cleaned both inside and out. Our conscientious employees take care when loading and unloading to ensure maximum safety.
2. Cleaning
When containers enter our branches, they are emptied and then cleaned on the container-washing line. Pressure jets clean containers inside and out using water heated to 65ºC and biodegradable detergents.
3. Drying
Containers are then dried in a separate building. This ensures the containers do not smell and our employees can load them easily for reuse. It also means the container lids do not freeze shut during the winter months.
4. Vehicle disinfection
Before clean containers are loaded onto our trucks we thoroughly disinfect the vehicle interior and exterior in accordance with our HACCP policy. This excludes the possibility of vehicles transferring germs.
